Advice from Archdiocese of Armagh during current covid pandemic.

Blessing of graves took place at Dunmoyle, Ballymacilroy and Garvaghey over the summer months and concluded last Sunday at Old Errigal Ciaran. The summer gatherings were blessed with good weather – rain threatened but did not come to anything and it was breezy one day – but we still gathered to remember our deceased loved ones and met relatives and friends and neighbours that perhaps we hadn’t met due to covid. Last Sunday the heavy rain dictated that instead of Mass we had a prayer service – thank you to all who braved the weather – we still fulfilled our Christian duty of remembering and praying and gathering. That of course was repeated at every Blessing of the Graves and is an expression of our faith in the Resurrection and our hope of eternal life.

Fr Ruben Padilla from the Comboni Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus visited our Parish last weekend. He asked me to pass on his thanks for your welcome and listening ear and your generosity. If you would still like to contribute financially to his cause place money in an envelope marked ‘Fr Ruben’, leave it in the collection basket or at the Parochial House and it will be forwarded on to him.

Lately deceased: Eugene Kelly, Ann Ward, Fr Bobby McKenna, Fr Sean Quinn, Anne Kelly/Áine Ní Cheallaigh.
